State budget cuts will cost FSU

FAIRMONT — Money matters dominated the regular meeting of the Fairmont State University Board of Governors Thursday.

The planned 7.5 percent budget cut that state agencies have been told to plan for could cost FSU about $1.3 million in funding next year.

Vice President of Administration and Fiscal Affairs Rick Porto said that $1,341,050.00 would have to be trimmed from the university’s operating budget in Fiscal Year 2014.
