FAIRMONT —
The husband and wife charged with the first-degree murder of her father in December 2011 will meet some time next week with their attorneys “to discuss their options.”
In a pretrial hearing for Michael Ian Palmer on Wednesday before Circuit Judge Michael Aloi, it was arranged for Palmer, with co-counsel S. Sean Murphy and Rebecca Tate, and Kristyn Lorraine Palmer, with co-counsel Christina Mulligan and Fran Whiteman, to meet as a group at the North Central Regional Jail within the next few days.
All have agreed to waive attorney-client privilege “to have a candid discussion,” said Marion County Prosecuting Attorney Patrick N. Wilson.
Both Palmers have been lodged in the North Central Regional Jail since their arrests in June 2012 on the Dec. 11, 2011, shooting death of Everett “Eddie” Wilson at their Baxter home.
A former Marion County magistrate was also named co-defense counsel for Michael Palmer.
Rebecca Tate was appointed by Aloi to join attorney S. Sean Murphy as Palmer’s defense team.
