FAIRMONT —
Fairmont State University hosted the Marion County Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 Legislative Breakfast, where officials on Friday addressed topics of concern such as the education system and the upcoming legislative session.
Wade Linger, president of the West Virginia Board of Education, discussed pressing items that appeared on the education audit. Linger said that the audit was thorough and provided an analysis of the many facets related to education.
One thing that Linger said is deserving of special attention within the education system is the development and retention of teachers.
“We have to have great teachers or we’re not going to go anywhere,” Linger said.
