FAIRMONT — When snow is forecast, closings and cancellations are inevitable.
Marion County Schools will remain closed today.
Assistant Superintendent of Schools Gary Price said the road conditions paired with the number of people without power would make it too difficult to hold school.
“The state road is working hard to clear the roads and we appreciate it, but we feel we need to keep the buses off the roads,” Price said.
The county school administration is also watching the weather reports and with a possible storm coming today, there may be no classes on Wednesday as well.
