Summer is the time for all kinds of reunions. Many families, schools, businesses and other groups have reunions on an annual basis.
Cities usually aren’t known for throwing reunions.
But Lajuana Logan and Barbara Smith hope to change that.
On Saturday, the Fairmont Past and Present Reunion, the first for the city, will be hosted at Windmill Park beginning at 1 p.m. The reunion is both for people who have left Fairmont and those who still call it home, and the two women hope it will become an annual event.
“I just love people and I love when people get together and have a really, really good time,” Logan said.
