PLEASANT VALLEY —
Convenience stores do a lot of business in small sales of items like drinks, snacks and lottery tickets.
But on Wednesday, local Par Mar stores started selling small miracles.
The West Virginia Oil Marketers and Grocers Association (OMEGA), in conjunction with West Virginia chapters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, kicked off a month-long fundraiser Wednesday across the state with a press event at the Par Mar Convenience Store on Kingmont Road in Pleasant Valley.

Capias arrest warrant issued for Shaquille Lewis
A capias arrest warrant has been issued for Shaquille Lewis, the 19-year-old cousin of William Horton.
Lewis had been subpoenaed to testify at his cousin’s trial, which ended Friday in a four-count “not guilty” verdict. -
