FAIRMONT —
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a trio of suspects in Carolina for allegedly attempting to steal catalytic converters from a local car lot.
On Monday, deputies arrested Dale Morgan Fouse, 21, of Carolina, Dwayne Alan Efaw, 26, of Farmington, and Amy J. Schwartz, 34, of Carolina, on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony.
According to criminal complaints, deputies were contacted by the owner of the property. When deputies arrived on scene, they allegedly found Fouse and Efaw “climbing out from underneath of a red Honda Accord that was placed up on blocks.”
After deputies took the two men into custody, they reportedly informed officers that they were there to take the catalytic converters from three vehicles. They allegedly added that Schwartz had given them permission to do so.
The owner of the property “confirmed that he had not given any party permission to take any part of the vehicles from the property,” the complaints say.
