FAIRMONT —
Fairmont City Police are investigating an early morning shooting Tuesday that left one man injured but very few clues.
According to Lt. Steve Shine, investigations officer with Fairmont Police, the injured man was identified as Samuel Hine, 35, of Marion County. He and a woman identified as his girlfriend were walking along the 500 block of Front Street on Fairmont’s East Side. They had just left the bar MJ’s, Shine said.
An unidentified vehicle drove by, and two to three shots rang out. Hine was struck in the left thigh with one of the bullets fired from a mid-caliber handgun.
