FAIRMONT —
It was the scene throughout Marion County and the state on Wednesday, power lines and trees down, emergency crews putting in overtime and strong winds and rain.
According to AccuWeather, temperatures in Marion County on Tuesday were in the 60s throughout the morning. Between 10:30 and 11 a.m., a line of thunderstorms blew across the state.
The storms brought gusty winds and heavy rain to the area. The winds were at a steady 16 mph with higher gusts.
Marion County Central Communications (911) received several phone calls about downed power lines and trees. One call was regarding RCI Electric Services on Auburn Street having part of its roof blown off due to the high winds.
