Beginning Jan. 28, Pierpont Community & Technical College will be offering a round of free training for oil and gas industry jobs.
The three-week-long, 120-hour program will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Feb. 15 at Pierpont’s Center for Workforce Education. According to Director of Workforce Solutions Continuing Education Bo Sellers, the training is an opportunity for individuals in the area to receive valuable experience that will give them a leg up in the industry.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for individuals and families in the region because this is an opportunity to earn a liveable wage and support a family with a sustained career,” Sellers said.
