Structure fire destroys Mannington Moose Lodge

MANNINGTON — A structure fire late Wednesday at Mannington’s Moose Lodge has destroyed the building, leaving a smoldering shell. No one was injured.

According to Mannington Volunteer Fire Chief Jimmy Moran, firefighters arrived to a “working” blaze after the fire was toned around 8:20 p.m. A working structure fire means that all available personnel will likely be needed put down the blaze.

According to eyewitnesses, at its peak the fire could be seen rolling out of the windows and up from under the roof, shooting out into the air as the blaze consumed the building’s interior.
