FAIRMONT —
Fairmont State University’s National Security and Intelligence Program is gaining a nation-wide reputation.
In 2010, former Federal Bureau of Investigation analyst, Jason Thomas, started the Open Source Intelligence Exchange (OSIX) component of the curriculum, and it has continued to evolve ever since.
With the insight of FSU’s current OSIX director, David Abruzzino, the program’s focus has shifted from basic research to practical implementation of skills.
“We are taking students and putting them in an environment where they can use the skills they’re learning in the classroom and put them into practical use,” Abruzzino said. “They can work on actual intelligence products for real customers in the national-security and law-enforcement communities.”

Capias arrest warrant issued for Shaquille Lewis
A capias arrest warrant has been issued for Shaquille Lewis, the 19-year-old cousin of William Horton.
Lewis had been subpoenaed to testify at his cousin’s trial, which ended Friday in a four-count “not guilty” verdict. -
