PLEASANT VALLEY — State Police are investigating a break-in and vandalism of the Faith Reformed Presbyterian Church located on Sunny View Lane.
Frank Deli, an elder at the church, said the church was vandalized sometime after Sunday’s service. He said the vandals broke in through the church’s basement, ransacked a few rooms including the kitchen before taking a computer and an air conditioning unit. The thieves also broke into an outdoor shed and stole some weed wackers.
Deli said that while doors and other things were damaged, the church’s sanctuary remained intact. He estimated the damage, including the items stolen, to be several thousand dollars.
Police said they are pursuing all leads, and the incident is under investigation.
Anyone with information about the incident should contact State Police at 304-367-2701.
