FAIRMONT — A Grafton couple was named in an eight-count indictment Tuesday by a federal grand jury for allegedly committing a crime in Fairmont city limits earlier this year.
According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s office, Eric Wayne Zuspan, 53, and his wife, Terri Elaine Trickett/Zuspan, 52, face an array of charges for conspiring to commit extortion and wire fraud and attempting to extort money from a woman in their care. The alleged crime occurred in Fairmont and began late last March and continued through early May.
The couple resides in Grafton, but they have made themselves known within the community by expressing adamant, and at times hostile, concern about the dilapidated condition of several houses along Chicago Street in downtown Fairmont and the city’s failure to address the issue.
