FAIRMONT — The liberal mainstream media want to define the Tea Party movement as a bunch of gun toting, racist, right-wing radicals.
“Their task seemed endless, almost overwhelming, especially with only $517 in their Tea Party bank account,” a recent article in The New York Times proclaims. “There were rallies against illegal immigration to attend. There was a coming lecture about the hoax of global warming. There were shooting classes to schedule, and tips to share about the right survival food.”
But the labels don’t seem to fit.
For the past couple of weeks, the Times West Virginian has been investigating a movement that has spread across the land. The newspaper has interviewed the local chapter’s organizers and attended a rally in Clarksburg.
