FAIRMONT — Three accused firearms possession offenders from Marion, Harrison and Monongalia counties were in U.S. District Court in Clarksburg this week.
From Marion County, 33-year-old Stacy Thompson, also known as Stacey Thompson, was sentenced to 10 years in prison to be followed by three years supervised release for knowingly possessing a loaded firearm as a convicted felon in November 2009 in the Worthington/Four States area, according to a press release from acting U.S. Attorney Betsy Jividen.
Judge Irene M. Keeley sentenced Thompson, who pleaded guilty to the charge in December, on Wednesday. The release said Thompson pleaded guilty to possessing a loaded firearm while on pretrial release in another criminal case.
