Marion County Citizens for the Bond wants voters to know how the proposed school bond will benefit the communities.
On Tuesday evening, 11 committee members came together at the Marion County Chamber of Commerce’s office in downtown Fairmont to plan ways to promote the bond.
The bond election will take place along with the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The proposed $10 million bond, which will run for 10 years, will include the construction of a competition gymnasium and expansion of the cafeteria and commons areas at North Marion High School.
The bond committee includes Rusty DeVito, Mary Jo Thomas, Becky Brown, Stacey Strawderman, Steve Malnick, Steve Rodriguez, Rick Ott, Brenda Giannis, Dixie Yann, Mike Parrish, Chris Freeman, Sonny Bartic, Debbie Johnson, Rocky Manchin, Chuck Sconish, Beckie Parrish and Orie Ellen Sterling.
