ATHENS — Fairmont State’s Justin Caroli shot four-under par (140) to lead Fairmont State to a third place finish at the WVIAC Southern at Pipestem Resort.
Matt Hicks from West Liberty was the individual medalist with Caroli trailing by five strokes.. The Hilltoppers won the event with a score of 572, followed by Concord (576) and Fairmont State and Ohio Valley tying for third (582).
FSU’s Zach Rudy finished tied for fifth with a 143, Ben Palmer tied for 16th (147), Will Gautreau was tied for 30th (152) and Joel Cano finished 63rd (169) to help pace the Falcons.
Fairmont State (71-15-2) will wrap up the fall season with the WVIAC Championship starting Monday at Stonewall Resort.
