FAIRMONT — Fairmont State senior linebacker Nate Black was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) second team academic All-District 2 Wednesday for his performance on the field and the classroom.
Black was among the league leaders in total tackles and solo tackles, and was recently named to the All-WVIAC first team for the second time in his career. He leaves Fairmont State as one of the school’s leaders in solo tackles and tackles for a loss.
Black, who has maintained a 3.5 grade-point average in business/marketing, was the only player from the WVIAC to be named to one of the two teams.
