FSU men power past Glenville State

FAIRMONT — Fairmont State held off a second-half rally by Glenville State and recorded a 78-66 victory over the Pioneers on Monday evening at the Jesse R. Lilly Gymnasium.

The Falcons, who improved to 12-4 overall and to 10-2 in the WVIAC, used a 13-2 run during a 5:30-span late in the second half to regain control of the contest and record the win.

FSU was led by Isaac Thornton, who finished with a game-high 24 points and five rebounds, and Isaiah Hill, who chipped in 18 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Glenville, which fell to 9-7 overall and to 5-6 in the league, got 19 points from Kevin Gray and 18 from D.J. Blanks.
