Workers set Auto Glass Fitters apart

FAIRMONT — Auto Glass Fitters takes pride in its quality employees and is now offering services in Fairmont.

Dave Taylor, director of retail development, said the corporation’s workers set it apart from competitors.

“Everybody that we have employed and will employ are highly experienced,” he said.

Taylor said Auto Glass Fitters is a brand new company, incorporated in August, and is just beginning to open stores. The company established its first shop in Belpre, Ohio, in October. It also currently has locations in Zanesville and Dayton, Ohio, and Martinsburg, W.Va., and is getting ready to open more stores.

The new Auto Glass Fitters shop in Fairmont is located at 700 Fairmont Ave., across the street from Go Mart. It took a while to get the building ready for business, but the shop officially opened about a month and a half ago. A lot of traffic goes by this new location.

“We just figured it’d be a good place to do business,” Taylor said. “None of our major competitors happen to be in Fairmont.”

The shop focuses solely on auto glass repair and replacement and can work on any type of automobile, he said. Auto Glass Fitters offers free mobile service and is approved to deal with all major insurance companies to handle claims. The business also has cash customers and a lot of commercial accounts, such as dealerships and auto body shops.

Bob Hawkins and Jeff Ash are the glass installers/technicians for Auto Glass Fitters in Fairmont. They each have about six years of experience in this work.

While business is slow this time of year, Auto Glass Fitters expects to see growth in the busy months of February and March.

Auto Glass Fitters in Fairmont is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. For more information, call 1-877-GLAS FIT or 366-0100.
