Air Solutions offers quality, efficient services

FAIRMONT — Air Solutions LLC Heating and Cooling is offering quality and efficient services to the tri-county area.

Around April or May of this year, owner Gavin Jones finalized all the paperwork and opened his business, which provides heating and cooling services for residential and commercial clients.

Air Solutions LLC, based in Fairmont, can install new furnaces, air conditioners and air purifiers and do a variety of repairs, he said. The company can also put in complete ductwork systems during the construction of new homes.

Gavin, a Fairmont native, attended the Monongalia County Technical Center, or MTEC, in Morgantown during the 2009-2010 year. After gaining more hands-on experience working for Hendershot Heating and Cooling for a year, he decided to go out on his own and start his own business.

He said he has done some general contracting with his uncle, Mike Jones of Jones Contracting, and was originally planning to pursue that line of work. But his uncle encouraged him to go into either the electrical or HVAC business so they could work together on different aspects of home projects, instead of stepping on each other’s toes.

Gavin chose HVAC for his career path, and now he often does the complete furnace installations and ductwork when Mike is building houses from the ground up.

So far, Gavin has mainly done work around Fairmont, but he is willing and ready to serve customers throughout Marion, Monongalia and Harrison counties. He said business has picked up significantly since he did some advertising and more people are becoming interested in his services.

Gavin commented that some heating and cooling businesses are so busy that it can take a week or more for them to send a service technician out to fix a furnace problem, which leaves the customer without heat for that amount of time.

Air Solutions LLC, on the other hand, will respond the same day as it gets a service call. Gavin may not be able to make the repair that day if a part has to be ordered, but he will be there to figure out what’s wrong and remedy the situation as soon as possible.

He said he loves “pretty much everything” about doing this type of work.

“There’s nothing I really dislike about it,” Gavin said.
