WVU breaks two-game slide, thumps Marshall

SKID SNAPPER: West Virginia University snapped its two-game losing streak here Saturday with a convincing 27-3 conquest of Marshall in the third annual Friends of Coal Bowl game. In making their record 2-2, the Mountaineers outplayed Thundering Herd all the way to Huntington. They rolled up 493 yards in total offense while limiting Marshall to only 158 yards — its lowest total of the season.
