West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant speaks with Hershel “Woody” Williams at the rededication ceremony for the Veterans Memorial Tuesday in Charleston. Williams was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II. Williams will be in Fairmont Thursday morning for the “Take a Veteran to School” program at East Fairmont High School. Tennant is from Fairview.
