Main Street Fairmont has started holding weekly meetings to discuss ways to transform Fairmont into a college town, instead of just a town with a college. The goal is to strengthen the relationship between the downtown area and the students of Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College, and to change the culture.
