Rockie DeLorenzo, principal of West Fairmont Middle School, demonstrates the school’s buzzer entry system. Visitors to the building must push the button, and an office worker checks a video camera to verify the identity of the visitor before unlocking the door to let them enter. Thanks to two grants from the state School Building Authority, every elementary school in the county will soon have a similar system.
