A nearly week-long excavation of a brush-covered acre next to Montana Road failed to yield any human bones, Sgt. Matt Pigott of the Fairmont Police Department said Monday. But the search, which ended Sunday, did yield two “items of interest” that have been sent for analysis to the State Police crime lab.
