‘This weather was perfect for running’

David McCollam (left) and Jaron Hawkins take the lead Saturday in the Run to Read Half Marathon at the rail trail at Pricketts Fort State Park. Hawkins, of Frostburg, Md., won the race in 1:13:18.3 as a newcomer, while McCollam, last year’s winner, came in second.
