Donna Fluharty holds up what her grandchildren call a “Slinky apple,” (above) made with an apple peeler/corer. She likes this apple cobbler (left) for two reasons: It’s easy to make and is versatile, too. It can just as quickly be made with peaches, cherries, blueberries or blackberries.
